Privacy Policy

Your financial information is among the most personal you have. This page explains what we collect, why, and what we will never do with it.

EFFECTIVE July 26, 2026

1. Overview

Ezer Kairos Financial Services (“we,” “us,” or “the firm”) provides financial planning, tax preparation, tax strategy, bookkeeping, and fractional CFO services from our office in Plano, Texas. This policy applies to this website and to the information you share with us in the course of an engagement.

We treat client information as confidential as a matter of professional obligation and conviction. We do not sell it, rent it, or trade it. Ever.

2. What We Collect

We collect only what the work requires. Depending on how you interact with us, that may include:

Contact information you submit through our forms or by email — name, email address, phone number, and the message you write.

Financial and tax information provided during an engagement — income records, statements, prior returns, entity documents, payroll data, and identifiers such as a Social Security or EIN number where a filing requires one.

Technical information collected automatically — IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring source.

3. How We Use It

We use your information to respond to inquiries, prepare and file returns, deliver the services in your engagement letter, meet our own recordkeeping and regulatory obligations, and communicate with you about your account.

We do not use client financial data for marketing. If you opt into general updates from the firm, you can unsubscribe at any time and it will not affect your service.

4. Sharing & Disclosure

We disclose client information only in these circumstances:

With your authorization — for example, sending records to your lender, attorney, or another advisor at your request.

To taxing authorities — filings submitted to the IRS, the Texas Comptroller, or other agencies on your behalf.

To service providers under confidentiality obligations — tax preparation software, secure document portals, and accounting platforms that make the work possible.

When legally required — in response to a valid subpoena, court order, or regulatory demand.

Tax return information carries additional protection under Internal Revenue Code § 7216. We will not disclose or use it beyond preparing your return without your written consent.

5. Security

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data we hold, including encrypted transmission, access controls limited to staff who need the file, and a written information security plan as required of tax professionals. Please send sensitive documents through our secure portal rather than ordinary email — email is not a secure channel, and we cannot guarantee its contents in transit.

6. Retention

We retain client records for the period required by professional standards and applicable law — generally seven years after the close of an engagement — after which they are securely destroyed. Inquiries that do not become engagements are kept only as long as needed to respond.

7. Your Rights

You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccuracies, request deletion where we are not required to retain it, or withdraw a consent you previously gave. Texas residents have these rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act.

To make a request, email [email protected]. We will verify your identity and respond within the time the law allows. We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front.

8. Cookies & Analytics

This site uses essential cookies to function and may use analytics to understand which pages are useful. Analytics data is aggregated and is never combined with your client file. Most browsers let you refuse cookies; the site will still work if you do.

9. Children’s Privacy

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Dependent information supplied by a parent for a tax filing is handled as part of that parent’s client file.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our practice or the law changes. The effective date at the top will always reflect the current version, and material changes will be communicated to active clients directly.

Questions about this policy, or about how we handle your information, are welcome.
